Smokepit Fairytales

Hank and his trusty Corpsman, "Doc," thought they knew what to expect when they were deployed to Iraq, but after getting trapped in an ancient Babylonian temple, things got weird. Following months of combat in a war that wouldn't end, Hank returns to California to face a different type of immigrant—the kind that comes from space.

Still politically incorrect, violent, and sexual, if you enjoyed Smokepit Fairytales then you will love the follow up: Sing Goddess, The Wrath of the Fonz. A war story combined with the supernatural in the style of a classical epic to tell a snarky, uproarious, and very poignant tale mixed with an edgy Sci-Fi and fantasy twist to keep you guessing. While on a NATO training mission gone awry in Latvia the Russian Federation invades the Baltic States. Hank and Doc are stuck in the snow of far off northern lands fighting for survival. Never losing their nerve.

A classical epic told from the point of view as modern warriors would see it. What happens when the war’s over, but the world didn’t survive? Communications are down. Food, fuel, and ammunition are low, and there’s no one to watch your back besides your demons. Continue with Hank and Doc...

Thirty years after the destruction of Earth, World War Three still rages between the Russian Federation and the United States in the depths of space. Thatch Allensworth, a decorated sergeant, struggles to maintain his personal relationships between deployments. Faced against terrifying new weapons, a relentless enemy, solar system wide combat, and an anti-romantic lover, Thatch only has his friends Stockton, Chuck, McKenzie, and O’Con to keep him from spiraling into alcoholism and madness.

After being transferred to Headquarters in the aftermath of the Battle of Volgograd, Thatch, O'Con, McKenzie, Chuck, and Stockton find themselves in the middle of a murderous conspiracy to usurp the Oval Office. Ghosts of the past and lights in the darkness emerge from the shadows, pushing Thatch across the tightrope of high treason. The gods of strife stain the Martian sand blood red as the winds of deceit sweep away ugly truths. Does might make right, or is justice in the eye of the beholder?

Thatch, Chuck, and Stockton have fled their burdensome lives on Mars in favor of raiding the stars with Hornigold MacCrinain and pirates. The future seems bright until Thatch is twisted into committing a heinous crime that leads down a road too dark to travel. Ambition may be the road to success, but there are no compasses in space and no king on the road to Hell. What goes up crashed back down.

Margaret Vickers and Zuzane Tkachenko have escaped the pursuing solar fleets, hiding in the only place left to run. Now in an astronomically unlikely alliance, they must find a new way to live their lives on the planet of their forefathers.
