When Kip Bramley receives a cryptic invitation, delivered by a beetle-shaped drone that appears to be breathing, his world changes forever. On his first day at Quicksmiths College of Strange Energy Kip finds himself chasing riddles and solving puzzles set 400 years earlier by a mysterious genius. Kip, his new friends, and their furry sidekicks must stay one step ahead to find the Ark of Ideas. But dark forces are closing in and getting closer....

It's Kip's second term at Quicksmiths College of Strange Energy, and he and the rest of Team Glowflyer seem to be no nearer to unlocking the secrets of The Ark of Ideas set by Renaissance genius Eartha Quicksmith. But when an accident separates the four friends, and plunges Kip and Timmi on a rollercoaster journey through time and space, they must defeat a dangerous enemy and unravel the mysteries of the Myriads if they are ever to get home again.
