The Dog Walker Novels

Jane Ashcroft walks dogs under a false name, trying to stay quiet, unnoticed, untouchable. In Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Jane thinks she's found the perfect place to disappear. The Loomis family needs someone to care for Fable, their powerful Belgian Malinois, on an estate built on privilege...

Jane barely survived the man who tried to kill her. Now, healing in Corvallis, Oregon, with the dog who saved her life and the best friend who's all she has left, she's desperate for quiet. For safety. For something that feels like solid ground. But when a young woman vanishes from the quiet college town—and R reveals a personal connection to the case—Jane is pulled back into the kind of danger she swore she'd never face again.

Jane thought Santa Fe would be safe. Then someone stole her dog. After Corvallis, Jane Ashcroft needed distance—from the killer who nearly destroyed her, from the danger that seems to follow her everywhere. In Santa Fe, she finally has it: a quiet life walking dogs, mornings with Fable, evenings with R. No more running. No more looking over her shoulder.

In the misted hills above Bergen, Norway, Jane Ashcroft, R, and their loyal dog, Fable, have finally found what feels like freedom. Their villa overlooks the harbor and the colorful roofs of the old city below. Morning walks lead them through cobbled streets and up the forested slopes of Mount Fløyen, where the air is sharp and clean, and no one asks questions. It’s a life built on quiet rhythms and careful routines—simple, safe, and earned after too many years of running. For a while, the world leaves them alone. But peace can be an illusion.

Before the scars. Before the secrets. Before she became the woman who couldn’t look away. Jane Ashcroft is trying to stay invisible. With a fake name, a clean slate, and nowhere left to run, she takes her first real job in years—walking dogs in Paradise Bluff, an exclusive Arizona community where privacy is prized, and silence is expected.
