Talmadge House Murders

This audiobook is narrated by an AI Voice.
After losing her beloved husband, eighty-four-year-old Jane McKenzie moves into the elegant Talmadge House retirement community in Norfolk, Virginia. She expects quiet days filled with gardens, card games, and gentle companionship. Instead, she finds herself in the middle of a deadly puzzle.

When several difficult, sharp-tongued residents die suddenly under seemingly natural circumstances, Jane grows suspicious. Teaming up with her charming new friend Ellie Ellingwood, she begins investigating the deaths. What starts as amateur sleuthing—questioning staff, observing fellow residents, and uncovering hidden motives—soon leads Jane down a dangerous path of secrets, poison, and long-buried grudges.

As the body count rises, Jane must confront the unsettling truth: the killer may be closer than she ever imagined. With sharp wit, quiet courage, and the wisdom of her years, Jane transforms from grieving widow to determined detective in a race to stop a murderer before she becomes the next victim.

A compelling cozy mystery laced with Southern charm, sharp observation, and unexpected twists, Murder at the Talmadge House explores friendship, justice, and the surprising dangers of life in one’s golden years. Perfect for fans of Agatha Christie and Richard Osman’s Thursday Murder Club series.
