Steel City Seals

When an NFL superstar hears a small-town bartender sing karaoke, he's hooked at the first note.

Too bad she has no idea who he is—and even less interest in finding out.

Karaoke at the Bootlegger bar isn't exactly a record deal, but it's a start. I don't sing for the crowd. I sing because one day I'm going to write songs the whole world hears.

Instead, I catch the attention of a six-foot-two running back with dimples, swagger, and a name sports fans chant on Sundays.

Everyone else recognizes Gage Edwards instantly.

I don't.

And even after I find out he's a professional football player in town for training camp, I still don't care.

Fame doesn't impress me. Big muscles don't sway me. And I definitely don't have time for a man who'll be gone when summer ends. I have three siblings I'm helping to raise, a mom who depends on me, and exactly zero extra hours for a summer fling—no matter how tempting his dimpled smile (or those sinful hands) might be.

But Gage doesn't walk away.

He shows up.

For me.

For my family.

For my music.

He says he wants to be on my team.

Funny. I don't remember posting an opening for a starting position.

On Her Team is a spicy small-town sports romance featuring a determined NFL running back who falls first and falls hard, a fiercely loyal heroine torn between family and her dreams, and a small town full of football players who are as big a handful off the field as they are on the field.

Training camp brings all the Steel City Seals to Smuggler's Hideaway at once, which means overlapping timelines, familiar faces, and football-player chaos. Enjoy in any order.
