The Aiden Adventures

The backwood village. The silence is broken. Who is knocking?Aiden has always been the kind of kid who treats "Do Not Enter" signs as polite suggestions, and Halloween night in Blackwood Village is just begging for a little trouble. Armed with a flashlight and a classic Victorian detective...

One shortcut. Two best friends. A whole lot of trouble. Aiden lives for excitement, and he’s certain that taking the overgrown, muddy track past the abandoned Blackwood Manor is the perfect way to get home before the Scottish storm breaks. His best friend, Iain —who treats the Official School Safety Handbook like a holy text —is significantly less enthusiastic about the "shortcut."But when a violent gust of wind slams the manor’s heavy oak door shut, trapping them inside, their quick trip turns into a race for survival.

Your shortcut to a faster commute... just became a one-way trip into the past. Aiden just wants to make it to first period on time —and avoid the wrath of Mrs. Gable for the third time this week. To him, the crumbling, fog-shrouded Blackwood Cemetery is not a place for eternal rest; it’s a massive, grass-covered shortcut that shaves exactly seven minutes and forty-two seconds off his walk. His best friend, Iain, has always called it a bad idea. Today, he was right.
