When my son Benjamin (age 2) was diagnosed with the rare genetic disorder Hurlers Syndrom (MPS1), told he´d die between age 7-12, I was advised to leave my job, wait for him to die, then get back to my life. I did the opposite. I swore to never let someones limiting beliefs, experts or not, become my beliefs. I shared my ideas regardless how crazy they sounded and receive with gratitude.
