On March 23, 2022, tragedy struck our school community. Again. A student was shot and killed in the park adjacent to our urban high school. This happened during school hours, while we were in class. The students, staff, and community were left to pick up the pieces of our hearts that were shattered in the park. We had to absorb the effects of the trauma, as we always do. We are more than violence, drugs, guns, and poverty. We are more than just a hood school. Listen as we honor those we have lost by speaking our truth. We're here to take the mic and show the world what we are truly made of.
