Our search for Alaria and her blood casters has gone nowhere and no matter what we do, we can’t find a new lead. With no other choice, we have to turn to the investigation we had on hold: the mysterious restaurant where magics go missing every six months and never come back.

Of all the places to be transported by magic against my will, a tropical island doesn’t seem too bad. Unfortunately, it’s teeming with blood casters who want me dead. On the bright side, I’m not alone; my friends are here too, and we’ve faced tougher odds together before. But the dangerous magic on this island isn’t like some of our other foes, and there are places some of us can’t even go without triggering deadly blood magic spells. To make matters worse, the leader of the blood casters is here, and she is a witch to be reckoned with.

Jen Maddox is a few days into her summer study-abroad program. She sees something that isn’t humanly possible. Jen would have thought that it was all a dream if not for the fact that Charlie, Dani, Mariana, TS, and Thomas are making every effort to cover it up. Suddenly, the five of them are everything but normal, and Jen is determined to figure out what they’re hiding. There’s something on the ship. Something dangerous. Suddenly, everyone on board is threatened by a creature that Jen never even believed existed.

I’ve never felt more alone. With a single spell I can defeat the dark witch Alaria. Maybe even save the world. But I only get one chance; if I fail she’ll kill me and my friends will become her sacrifices. To make things worse, Alaria is cunning and manipulative. The longer I stay under her influence, pretending to be one of her disciples, the easier I find the role. And blood magic is as frightening as it is powerful.

It has been six long months since Thomas and Dani were taken. Six months with no word and no news; all we know is they’re alive. But for how long? At last, we have a lead. One that takes us to a very unexpected pair of magics. They claim we can trust them and we really don’t have a choice, they’re the only ones who can help us. They say there is a way to save our friends and stop the evil witch Alaria and her cult of blood casters.
