Villoldo directs the Four Winds Society, where he trains individuals throughout the world in the practice of energy medicine and soul retrieval. While at San Francisco State University, he founded the Biological Self-Regulation Laboratory, to study how the mind creates psychosomatic health and disease, and it was with this research intention in mind, that he left his orderly life and ventured into the Andes, to find a knowledge that dates back thousands of years among native shamans and natural healers.
