Teen rebel and social-media star Robin Hood is in exile in Holland, limited to public campaigning for the rebel cause. In the meantime, the Sherwood Forest rebels have been waging a long bitter war against President Marjorie Kovacevic's troops. And hundreds of thousands of civilians, women and children, have been locked up in squalid open-air prisons. But if the President wants to remain in power, she must do whatever it takes to completely destroy the rebels in Sherwood Forest.

Robin Hood's father may now be Sheriff of Nottingham and working hard to root out police corruption and the remains of Guy Gisborne's criminal empire, but the Sherwood rebel's problems are far from over. Former sheriff Marjorie Kovacevic has been elected national president promising to round up illegal refugees and migrants and use the army to wipe out the rebels and bandits who control Sherwood Forest. But she needs to pass a new law before she can send in the troops to recapture Robin's home, Sherwood Castle.

Robin is pleased to hear from his old school friend Alan Adele, not least because Alan's father is Guy Gisborne's top henchman. Now that Gisborne is in the running to be elected Sheriff of Nottingham, he needs to keep his criminal activities under wraps. So when Alan tips off Robin and the rebels at Sherwood Castle that Gisborne's waste disposal business is costing its workers lives, the stakes become very high. Robin is soon literally digging the dirt on his arch enemy to finally bring him down in this latest high-octane adventure.

Robin Hood is campaigning to get his dad, Ardagh Hood, elected Sheriff of Nottingham. But their rival is arch-gangster Guy Gisborne, who won't hesitate to stuff ballot boxes with fake votes to ensure that he wins the vote. And Robin has more personal worries - is he losing confidence in his ability to shoot arrows with deadly accuracy? Meanwhile Robin's half-brother Little John is caught up in his mother's presidential election campaign, further complicating contact with Robin, his father Ardagh and his relationship with his girlfriend, Gisborne's daughter Clare.

Robin and Will Scarlock's band of rebels are enduring a bitterly cold winter in the derelict Sherwood Castle Resort. But when the boss of a major delivery company—the world's second richest man—asks for help to track down the kidnappers of his beloved dogs and offers to pay, Robin finds himself at the centre of the biggest hacking operation of his life.
