The Book of Jude is the penultimate book of the New Testament as well as the Christian Bible. It is traditionally attributed to Jude the Apostle, brother of James the Just, and thus possibly brother of Jesus as well.

Jude quoted the Book of Enoch by name. Jesus taught in the same categories it uses — especially the Son of Man. The early Jesus movement treated this material as known and usable. Later institutional gatekeepers decided to push it outside the fence. This book walks the full Ethiopian (Geʽez) version of 1 Enoch section by section: the Book of the Watchers, the Book of Parables, the Astronomical Book, the Dream Visions, and the Epistle of Enoch. Key passages are quoted. The rest is paraphrased so you can actually follow the text without getting lost.

Lost for nearly 1,700 years, newly restored and authenticated, the Gospel of Judas presents a very different view of the relationship between Jesus and Judas. Rather than paint Judas as a traitor, it portrays him as acting at Jesus' request.

The discovery of a previously lost Gospel of Judas Iscariot has electrified the Christian community, portraying this despised man as someone who saw his role in the Passion of Christ as integral to a larger plan, and bringing new clarity to the old story. If Judas had not betrayed Jesus, Jesus...

No discovery since the Dead Sea Scrolls has rocked the Christian world like that of the newly translated Gospel of Judas. Imagine Judas, the man all of Christendom has hated for 2,000 years, now portrayed as the chosen one, the martyr, the scapegoat, and the man instructed and appointed by Jesus himself to orchestrate and carry out the greatest treachery of all time. Come with us as we explore the Gospel of Judas. We will attempt to fill the gaps in the text and the theology.

Two celebrated scholars illustrate how the newly discovered Gospel of Judas provides a window into understanding how Jesus' followers understood his death, why Judas betrayed Jesus, and why God allowed it. Presented with the elegance, insight, and accessibility that has made Pagels and King the leading voices in this field, this is a book for academics and popular audiences alike.

The year is AD 66, and the Roman province of Judea has exploded in rebellion. Far from being a revolution of unified peoples, the various Jewish factions of Sadducees, Zealots, Sicarii, and Edomites are in a state of civil war; as anxious to spill the blood of each other as they are to fight the Romans. The Judeans find hope when the Romans commit a serious tactical blunder and allow their forces to be ambushed and nearly destroyed in the mountain pass of Beth Horon.

Even someone with a casual knowledge of the Bible will recognize the name Judas Iscariot. Well known as the disciple who betrayed Jesus, the Messiah, with a kiss, Judas has become synonymous with betrayal and deception. The most infamous of the apostles, Judas goes from true follower to a turncoat who seemingly sacrifices the cause for personal benefit. Not surprisingly, the names of the disciples will appear in birth registries around the world except for Judas, whose name is still associated with suspicion and even fear.

James and Jude had not been disciples, but were educated by those that followed Moses law. Jesus appeared to James after his resurrection. That was when James completely believed this man he had grown up with was really the son of God. Jude calls himself the brother of James.
