Financial problems in an alcoholic marriage aren't always obvious at first. Sometimes it's money disappearing without explanation. Sometimes it's missed work, unpredictable income, impulsive spending, or bills that aren't getting paid. I neer thought things would progress to where they did and left me and the kids in a financial pickle!
And sometimes the bigger concern isn't what is happening today—it's realizing how financially vulnerable you could be if things do spiral or if something unexpected happens!
