It's the heart of the heartland and a typical example of America's Midwest. And, it's leaning plant-based as evidenced by the success of its Vegan Restaurant Month celebration, which is taking place all this month, through the end of November. Heather and JR Dahman are the husband and wife team leading the charge to show city residents the joys and health benefits of plant-based living. Fittingly, they also run a company called The Herbivore Next Door. Now, let's get the skinny on how they are veganizing their friends, neighbors, restaurants and institutions by showing everyone in their community that going plant-based is no sacrifice.
