The Ultimate Whisky Collection Part II will be offered this October 31 at Sotheby's New Bond Street, led by The Red Collection - a new collection of six classic aged single malt whiskies from The Macallan Distillery, featuring the oldest aged whisky ever to be sold at auction, The Macallan 78 Years Old. The complete set, with hand-signed labels by Spanish artist and illustrator Javi Aznarez, will be sold for the benefit of City Harvest London.
Sotheby's recent record-breaking Whisky sales include The Macallan Fine & Rare 60-Year-Old 1926, which set an auction record when it sold for £1.5 million in October 2019, and the Karuizawa 52 Year Old Zodiac Rat Cask #5627, 1960, which sold for £363,000 in March 2020.
