    This episode continues the 7-Day Reset using my 3×5 Method—a simple framework built to help you navigate life with clarity and consistency.

    We use 5 essential life skills:
    Communication. Curiosity. Creativity. Continuous Learning. Productive Confrontation.

    To handle 3 universal problems every man faces:
    Adversity. Uncertainty. Complacency.

    Across 5 core areas of life:
    Faith. Family. Fitness. Finances. Fulfillment.

    Today is Day 3: Fitness—but not the way most people talk about it.

    This isn’t just about physical fitness.
    It’s about mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical fitness—your overall capacity to stay engaged in life without burning out, numbing out, or breaking down.

    I share honestly about a struggle I’ve been working through myself: trying to “get back” to the physical version of me from 2022 without fully acknowledging that life is seasonal. Different responsibilities. Different obligations. Different load.

    When you try to force an old standard into a new season, you get frustrated, erratic, and discouraged.

    This episode reframes fitness as capacity rather than intensity.
    Your capacity to stay consistent.
    Your capacity to recover.
    Your capacity to remain present in your relationships.
    Your capacity to lead without escaping.

    If you’ve been hard on yourself for not being who you used to be, this conversation is for you.

    Because fitness isn’t about going backward.
    It’s about building yourself for the season you’re in now.

    5 Actions: Wake up at a set time. Read 15 minutes. Write at least one page. Workout. Design your day. (Set your expectations.)

    Across 5 areas of life: (5 F's)

    Faith. Family (relationships). Fitness. Finances. Fulfillment (personal & professional).

    Day 2: Family. I share the 3 patterns I see in my own life and examine why I've struggled with developing and maintaining relationships.

    Day One — Faith | The 3×5 Method (7-Day Reset)

    The next 7 episodes are my gift to you.

    Over the next seven episodes, I’m going to walk you through the exact method I use in my own life—and with the people I work with—to help them reset, realign, and start making real progress again.

    This isn’t a challenge.
    It’s a calibration.

    In this series, I introduce what I call the 3×5 Method—a simple daily operating system built around:

    • Five life skills
    • Applied across five areas of life
    • Anchored by five daily activities

    Together, they create momentum, clarity, and consistency—not just for seven days, but as a lifestyle shift.

    In Day One, we start with Faith.

    Faith isn’t passive. It’s active.
    It’s confidence in what you can’t yet see—and the willingness to keep moving forward anyway.

    In this episode, I’ll help you:

    • Examine what you actually believe right now
    • Identify where you may be out of alignment with your values
    • Recognize what you’ve been avoiding internally
    • Begin rebuilding faith as a daily practice, not a feeling

    You’ll also get a simple reflection task—nothing overwhelming—that brings clarity without condemnation.

    This is about putting yourself back in position.
    About simplifying what’s become too complex.
    About creating forward motion again.

    Day One is where the reset begins.

    In this episode, I’m asking a question that sounds simple—but hits a lot deeper when you truly reflect on it.

    How confident are you in making decisions for your own life?

    This one was sparked by a conversation I had with my daughter about risks as you get older, and how easy it becomes to stop thinking for yourself and start following someone else’s narrative. Add to that a moment from Kevin Hart on Diary of a CEO, where he said, “Nobody has the confidence in making decisions for your life like you do,” and it made me stop & think (& of course write :).

    We talk about why, as we get older, we become more cautious.
    Why following someone else’s decisions feels safer—but quietly costs us freedom.
    Why “research mode” is often just procrastination in disguise.
    And why there really are no bad decisions—only decisions you can course-correct.

    This isn’t about being reckless.
    It’s about taking ownership.
    Agency.
    Staying in the game long enough to learn, adjust, and grow.

    Make the decision.

    In his book The G Code, Ryan Stewman writes that you have two families: your family of origin and your family of choice.

    Your family of origin is the one you were born into — your mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings. That’s the family you were raised with. You didn’t choose them… you inherited them.

    Your family of choice is completely different.
    This is the family you grow up with — the one you intentionally create. And you build this family in three powerful ways: spiritually, socially, and physically.

    In today’s episode, I’m going to break down why there are some people in your family of origin you must love where they are… and leave exactly where they are, because they are not part of your future. You can love them, you can support them, but you are not responsible for staying stuck with them.

    Then I’ll show you how to build your family of choice — the people you select who are more successful, richer, in better shape, and smarter than you.
    These are the people who stretch you.
    These are the people who challenge you.
    These are the people who take you to the next level.
