Doug Weaver and Theresa Buchheister started getting coffee together every week in September of 2024, when Buchheister moved back to Lawrence, KS from Brooklyn, NY after exactly 20 years.

They met in the year 2000 when Weaver was a professor and Buchheister was a student.

The vibes have always been solid and they persist.

Giving into inevitability, they started a podcast in 2026.

Doug and Theresa discuss theater ONE MORE TIME and this one is a doozy! They gave themselves an assignment to create seasons for a regional LORT-style theater, a local arts space and a space that is created because The Mellon Foundation gave them a million dollars. It is a very fun assignment and also someone should hire them to DO THESE SEASONS!

Next episode we start getting into movies! But for now, enjoy What Was I Saying ... (about) THEATER CULTURE P4!

Our penultimate theater episode! In this episode we talk about good advice we have received over the years, dream projects and the space(s) that theater happens in. Lots of juicy stuff.

SPOILER: Episode 6 is also about theater and we come up with proposals for seasons in a big regional theater, a local arts space and a new space that comes into existence because The Mellon Foundation gifts a million bucks. So, get ready for that!

We will go back and share references for previous episodes, as they are PACKED full of references. But we gotta start somewhere, so here we go!
