    • S3 E2 A conversation with...Therese
      Aug 12 2025

Please note that this episode contains a conversation about abuse and trauma. This conversations is not explicit and is focused more on hope and overcoming trauma, however if you are feeling vulnerable, it may not be the best thing to listen to.

Therese was abused when she was 10 years old. She never told anyone and spent her whole life battling with the effects of the trauma. She sought help from many different sources, and nothing made a difference.

She initially started following Dawn on Instagram and found her videos helpful. She messaged with Dawn, knowing that she needed help, but initially not believing she could be.

Despite her skepticism, she bit the bullet and booked a session with Dawn. After this everything changed.

Therese wanted to do this podcast to share with others a message of hope. You too can be helped. You don't have to relieve your trauma repeatedly. You don't even have to talk about it.

Dawn and Therese discuss why she took the risk, what surprised her about the sessions, and how different things are for her now

    • S3 E1 A conversation with...Steffie, Britains Strongest Woman 2025
      Jul 25 2025

What does it take to be a successful athlete when you have a voice inside of your head telling you that you are not good enough?

Dawn first met Steffie at a talk she was doing up in Buckie, Scotland. She didn't know it, but Steffie had already read her book and turned up to learn more. At that stage she was Scotland Strongest woman, but wasn't able to enjoy her success because she was still just surviving.

In this episode they talk about what it took to reach out to Dawn and what difference it made to her strongwoman journey to work with a therapist.

They also explore the concept of performance coaching in sports and why Strongwoman doesn't get the same coverage as the men's competitions.

Steffie is a competitive strongwoman from Buckie, Scotland, and is the reigning Scottish and British Champion.

A survivor of rape, bullying, and severe depression, she found purpose and power through strength sports — and hasn’t looked back since.

Since starting in 2019, Steffie has built a reputation for raw grit and honesty, both on the platform and off. She speaks openly about mental health and trauma, breaking stigma and showing that real strength goes far beyond what you can lift.

Steffie's next goal- World's Strongest Woman!
