    Christopher continued our Easter Alive series looking at The Victory of the cross.

    Reading through 1 Corinthians 15, we were reminded that the greatest battle has already been won through Jesus. On the cross He took the sting of sin and death, and through His resurrection He secured the victory we could never achieve ourselves. As we surrender to Him and join our lives to His, we share in that victory and live in the hope of what He has already won for us.

    We were reminded that through Jesus’ suffering and death on the cross, something extraordinary happened—making it possible for us to be born again into a living hope and welcomed into God’s family. Because of His great mercy, we who were once dead in sin are made alive in Christ and given a new identity as children of God.

    Vinu brought an encouraging message on prayer, reminding us that prayer is not simply asking God for things but communing with Him as our Father. Looking at Daniel 9, we saw a model of prayer marked by humility, worship, confession, and a deep dependence on God’s mercy. We were challenged to move from passive, routine prayer to a fervent, God-centred life of prayer that seeks His kingdom and His glory. As we grow in intimacy with God and make prayer our first response, we can trust Him to move powerfully in our lives, our church, and our nation.
