À propos de ce contenu audio

In 1934, retired Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler—one of the most decorated military figures in U.S. history—testified before the McCormack-Dickstein Committee.

He claimed that a group of wealthy industrialists and Wall Street bankers approached him to lead a private army of 500,000 veterans to march on Washington, D.C. Their goal? To overthrow President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) and replace him with a "Secretary of General Affairs" (essentially a fascist dictator) to "protect" the gold standard and stop the New Deal.
