Based on the controversial manga of the same name, Rapeman (1993) is a Japanese exploitation film that leans hard into shock value and dark satire. Following a seemingly ordinary high school teacher who secretly operates as a masked vigilante for hire, the film presents a series of bizarre and morally twisted “cases” where punishment is delivered in the most extreme and uncomfortable way imaginable.

Blending elements of crime drama, dark comedy, and pure exploitation, the movie attempts to frame its outrageous premise within a satirical look at justice, hypocrisy, and societal taboos, though whether it succeeds or completely derails is very much up for debate.
