Cole is joined once more by Alli, Lauren, and Reid as they discuss James Quigley and Ethan Yen's tragic world building engine Prequel. It is acknowledged that there were not an ideal number of players and that the Horror may be an outlier as far as the evils are concerned... but does the system hold up?

Dremmon has emerged from the bones of the fallen Lady Lucretia. The heroes quickly realize they are in deeply over their heads. There is no escape. There is no victory. There is only sacrifice and the hope that one day, somehow their deaths will help a future generation succeed where they had fallen. In the latter chapters of Prequel, more artifacts, characters, and lore are generated; the origins of several things in the Daggerheart campaign that you may or may not recognize.

Note: we realized about halfway into chapter 3 that the players were outmatched even more than they should be, so to help them out, we decided not to reset the weakness clock at the end of each round. Not that it saved the poor things...

A world is made. The stories are told. Father Ryan, Darcy, and Katja Wolf go forth to combat the horror who threatens to devour the world. In the depths of Saint Anne's Convent, they fight for the future of their world against the twisted and possessed remains of Lady Lucretia. See how the world of Valstare was first conceptualized as the spouses of Unto the Roll's cast play through chapter one and chapter two of Prequel, by James Quigley and Ethan Yen.

The party rushes to catch up to the Church of the Winged Light, only to find that they are too late. Urutak, Betsy, Kilgore, and Moonfang are forced to confront the very god who caused the calamity centuries ago whether they are truly prepared or not. How many deaths will it take to keep Dremmon down for good?

For those who couldn't quite tell from the verbal description, the map for the final battle is laid out with a main platform in the middle of the arena with six small islands encircling it. Platform 1 is in roughly the 7/8 o'clock position, and then they progress 1-6 in a clockwise manner.

With their preparations complete and the tablet correctly translated, the party leads the charge into the World Soul's Rest to stop the Church of the Winged Light. The party encourages an unlikely romance, much to Vale's chagrin. And Kaja's. And everyone's, really.

Now with bloopers and additional Mady-lore at the end!

After more intense discussion and negotiation, Betsy, Urutak, Kilgore, and Moonfang agree to search for a relic hidden at the defiled and desecrated Saint Anne's Convent. An old acquaintance aids them; then they are plunged into blood and chaos as they are confronted by the ever growing cult of the Dremmist faith.

A note from the editor: we goofed the combat mechanics a bit, and to spare you from the two hour tedium that resulted from shifting all the damage thresholds, we cut out most everything but the highlights. This has been corrected for future episodes!
