  • Episode 22 - I just don't like that book of the Bible!
    Jun 3 2026

We all have favorite books of the Bible; the ones we turn to for encouragement, wisdom, comfort, and inspiration. But what about the books we struggle to read? The ones that feel confusing, repetitive, difficult, or just plain hard to connect with?

In this episode of Two Pastors: Conversations About Everything, Robby and Jason have an honest and lighthearted conversation about their favorite and least favorite books of the Bible. Along the way, they explore why some parts of Scripture come naturally to us while others challenge our patience, understanding, and spiritual growth.

Join us as we discuss how every book of the Bible has a purpose, what we can learn from the passages we tend to avoid, and why sometimes the most difficult parts of Scripture may have the most to teach us.

Whether you're a lifelong Bible reader or just getting started, this conversation might encourage you to take another look at the books you've been tempted to skip.

  • Episode 21 - Praise First or Ask First?
    May 27 2026

When we pray, should we start with praise… or go straight to our requests?

In this episode, we unpack a listener question about prayer and explore why praise and petition were never meant to compete with each other. From the pattern of the Lord’s Prayer to the structure of historic collects and prayers of the church, we talk about how thanksgiving shapes our perspective, deepens trust, and changes the way we bring our needs before God.

We discuss why many of us naturally jump straight to “God help me,” what happens when praise is missing from our prayer life, and how gratitude and request actually work together to form a deeper relationship with God.

Because prayer isn’t just about getting answers. It’s about drawing closer to the One we’re praying to.

  • Episode 20 - What is Happening to our Community?
    May 20 2026

    Our community is hurting.

It feels like every day there’s another tragedy. Another shooting. Another family grieving. Another life lost too soon. This past week, our city experienced the loss of a police officer in the line of duty, while violence among our youth continues to rise.

In this episode, we have an honest conversation about the violence we’re seeing in Greenwood and communities everywhere. We talk about the condition of the heart, the loss of community, the need for hope, and why the teachings of Jesus matter now more than ever.

Because the answer to hate is not more hate. The answer is turning back to God and back toward one another.

  • Episode 19 - Is the church actually doing okay?
    May 13 2026

Is the church actually doing okay?

It’s easy to focus on church decline, cultural shifts, and everything that feels discouraging. But is that the whole story?

In this episode, we talk honestly about what we’re seeing in the church right now—and believe it or not, there’s a lot of hope. We see people searching for deeper meaning. We see hunger for God. We see people wanting more than just “going to church.” We see lives changing, people serving, and hearts turning toward Jesus.

The church isn’t perfect. But God is still moving.

  • Episode 18 - Be Careful Who (and What) You Follow
    May 6 2026

    We’re all following something.

Whether it’s social media, culture, friends, or the constant noise around us, the voices we listen to shape the direction of our lives more than we realize.

In this episode, we talk about what it means to be careful who—and what—we follow. Looking at John 10 and Psalm 23, we explore Jesus as the Good Shepherd, what it means to recognize His voice, and how following the right voice leads to peace, purpose, and life.

    Because the question isn’t if you’re following…
    It’s who you’re following.

  • Episode 17 - What Grinds My Gears
    Apr 29 2026

We all have them… the little things that just get under our skin.
Shopping carts left in the parking lot. Sitting at a green light way too long. Slow drivers in the fast lane.

In this episode, we have some fun talking about what “grinds our gears,” but we also take a step back and ask a deeper question, what does constant complaining do to our spirit, our relationships, and even our relationship with God?

Because while complaining comes naturally, gratitude has to be cultivated. And what we focus on shapes who we become.

  • Episode 16 - Rethinking Atonement in John 3
    Apr 22 2026

This episode is a little different.

It comes out of a class project on the Gospel of John, where we were asked to wrestle with a big question:
What does atonement actually mean in John’s Gospel?

We look at Gospel of John 3:1–21, the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus, and ask some honest questions. Why does Jesus talk about being “born from above”? Why does John focus on belief and life instead of forgiveness language? And what does it mean for Jesus to be “lifted up”?

Instead of giving easy answers, this episode leans into the tension. Drawing from different interpretive lenses, we explore how John presents salvation not just as something that happens for us, but something that invites us into new life, relationship, and transformation.

Because maybe atonement isn’t just about fixing a problem.
Maybe it’s about stepping into a whole new way of living.

  • Episode 15 - The Church Has Left The Building
    Apr 15 2026

This past Sunday looked a little different. The church gathered… and then the church scattered.

For Community Care Day, we stepped outside the building and into the community, serving, visiting, building relationships, giving, and simply showing up for people in real and meaningful ways. From yard work and hygiene kits to communion with shut-ins and fellowship at Wesley Commons, it was a powerful reminder of what the church is called to be.

In this episode, we reflect on what it means to be the hands and feet of Christ, why faith was never meant to stay inside four walls, and how simple acts of service can point people to something deeper.

Because church isn’t just something we attend… it’s something we live.
