The girls are back in town! That’s right, FINALLY all three Tunnel Talkettes are reunited and it feels sooooo good. Let’s get this car OFF the rails already! And it was a crazy week, with multiple unexpected title changes for us to work through. We get back in the swing of things with a discussion of the men’s world title scene* and how Kenny and Swerve are going about their feud. From that big new matchup, we go into a matchup we’ve seen many, many times before, FTR and the Young Bucks. Also, Thekla’s the new Women’s World Champion, to everyone’s surprise, and we talk through that and how the women’s division is treated generally. Plus, Jon Moxley called Wheeler Yuta “naturally beautiful,” Allie has as much trouble working through how to process Tommaso Ciampa’s existence as the rest of us did, and of course ham comes up at least a little. Allie’s still in exile, but Lea and Anne have intrepidly brought the podcast back anyway, and frankly we should all applaud their bravery in these difficult times! We brought on our friend Mike for a catchup/amnesty episode to bring us up to speed on all the AEW fun that we’ve missed, from Jon Moxley’s Grindset Influencing to the pleasures of watching two big men cheerfully yell. That’s right, we invited some mansplaining and we loved every single second of it! It was thrilling to hear about Swerve and Hangman’s psychosexual escapades with Kenny and with Jetspeed, to commiserate about the dark boring slide into mediocrity that is MJF these days, and to discover that Orange Cassidy has zero sexual chemistry with Toni and/or Mina.
