À propos de ce contenu audio

Let's take a trip. Small town, USA. This is where the pulse of the paranormal resides. There are thousands of stories and experiences out there. Some have been told, and retold hundreds of times, and some are kept hidden, known only by the people that live there; this is where we come in. We're exploring the untold, and breaking down the overly familiar. Journeying through the one stoplight towns and discovering local urban legends, myths, lore, and paranormal episodes. Researching the backgrounds and developing the voices unheard. Our goal is not to capture evidence, but rather to capture the moment and bring our listeners along for the ride. • Episode 140...Baba Ocala Yaga
    Mar 19 2026

Never turn your back on an old legend just because it's old. They have a tendency to come back around and peak their eyes through the trees at you.

The Baba Yaga has been creeping her way into media the last few years, but familiarity breeds mistakes when it comes to ghost stories. The more you peel away the nature of the witch, the clearer it becomes she may be walking in the Ocala and be behind some of the stories there.

Here's the link to the original video on liminal spaces and the witch:

Tripping on Legends gets out our chicken legs to examine the nature of the trickster and hold her up against the forest. You can make the decision from there.

Listen to the episode of the Stewarts...maybe the best spot to legend trip the Baba Yaga:

  • Episode 139...Ghost Riders on the Storm
    Feb 2 2026

There's a new digital legend on the rise of a mysterious rider on a bike terrorizing a dark road. Only problem is, the story may disappear quicker than a ghostly hitchhiker.

But with a deep history of spooks and spokes, it's easy to see why the story is gaining traction. We'll look at stories of Ghost Riders across the country before turning our eyes to Venice, where a local hero may still be around looking for glory.

And be sure to tell us your local Ghost Rider story to add to our archive.

Here are some of the sources and old shows mentioned on the show, including our new ongoing library of books mentioned on the show:

  • Episode 138...Volco and Revists
    Jan 17 2026

Imagine you could design a perfect ghost story for Tripping on Legends to look into. What would it have? Witches. Serial killers. Bridges. A ritual best done under a moon and exactly at midnight.

The story of the Witch of Volco Road has it all.

Trippers Christopher Balzano and Morticia headed out on Thanksgiving to see if there is any truth to cult leader walking across a bridge in the shadow of the Ocala.

They also discuss their recent trip to Ormond Beach and offer some new perspectives on the Fairchild Suicide Oak and Tomoka State Park.
