First time working with and meeting Damon. We actually had quite a bit in common. We both worked with kids. However, he was a real teacher. An educator. My Improv class was more of a simple after school class.

This was a great pod. If you're a comic, you should check it out. We talk quite a bit about development and pushing your self to be better on stage at all times. Every show is an opportunity. Take something from every time you get on stage.

Damon was also one of the best I've ever seen at "throw away" lines. Simple tags after the initial joke and tag, sometimes in the middle of the set up as well. You don't see them coming. Great work.

Phil Hughes, ventriloquist extrodinare. I misspelled several of those words.

Phil was last on the show in 2020. Been a while indeed. Good friend asnd a great act. Got to watch him work on the big Hawaii crossing. Had dinner, talked, traveled home.... Phil is a great act. Been around for years and years... always playing with his dolls, reinventing and adding to his show. That sounds like a weird porn thing, but it's not.

I've known Sideshow Bert for around 6-7 years or so. Juggler / Performer / Comedian... he's one of those "Do it all" acts. A seasoned pro who covers all the bases. Juggles, chainsaws, tazers, watermelons, cheeseburgers, and grapes. Some times all at once. Lives in Vegas (Duh), travels the world... been around a while... you know. One of my favorite acts to have on the show. He's also a friend, Haven;t worked with him in years. That happens out here on the ships. Don'e see some people for several years. this (Hawaii crossing) crusie I saw several. Bert was one.

On 4TSS155 we have easily one of my favorite people in the entire world. Melissa McLaughlin is an amazing singer, solist, performer who I don't get to see enough. Her show is a beautiful thing to watch. A powerful, angelic voice combined with a brilliant song selection and an heartfelt connection with the audience brings an fantastic show to everyone. Audiences love her almost as much as I do. She's become a good friend. It's obvious as we talk about our personal lives. Melissa has an amazing effect on everyone she meets. She has on me. 4TSS154 will be the first of five podcasts from the Hawaii crossing. As explained at the begining of each episode... a crossing is several sea days in a row with numerous entertainers. Lots of shows, lots of talent, so alot of podcasts. We start with Vice Royale.

Vice is perfect to start off with. He'll be recording his first ever comedy special this upcoming weekend. I got to see him tighten uop the stuff for the taping. I worked with Vince a year ago. He's so much better now. Just one of those acts that puts the time in, writes, works, tapes, writes again. It shows. If you are near Bellflower, CA on March 21, go watch the taping yourself at "The Stand-up Comedy Club"

I met Dany and Sebastian on a Celebrity ship. A married couple from Argentina who live together, travel together, work together, create together, write together, sing together.... That's a lot of together. They form "Supernova Duo" a beautiful and multi-layered duo. They have a unique style and great sound. They also followed the "Crew contract to Guest contract" path which is one of the hardest things to do. I'm always really impressed by acts that can do that. It takes alot of work and focus, something Dany ansd Sebastian have a lot of. They created a show titeld "Fleetwood Mac: Breaking the Chains", a show they started performing regularly this upcoming year (2026)

I apologize fo the sound. It's not perfect. In my defense, I wasnt prepared to record a duo. Didn't have the right equipment. So I had to wing it at the last minute. It's worth it. This was one of the most rewarding pods I've ever done.

Season 4 moves on. Malik Chunn is an incredibly talented dancer/actor. Caught him on the Celebrity Silhouette. Found out he's much more than that. Performing is in his blood. He's done it all from dancing, performing and teaching. Love talking to artists who are 100% all-in on their craft. Great conversation.

Season four of 'Total Schmidt Show" starts off where season three ended, with the other half of "Radio Recall"

Recorded a few weeks earlier. I ran into Aaron on the Celebrity Silhouette. He and Jenna Rubaii make up the show "Radio Recall" which I mistakenly call a band in the intro. Let's ignore that mistake. OK? I'm not rerecording the intro.

Aaron was the lead in "Jesus Christ Superstar" where he met Jenna. They then went on to create "Radio Recall." He has an amazing, powerful voice. he's a seasoned performer who has done it all. A fantastic talent that was great to watch and talk too. Always a pleasure to talk to a professional live performer who has crafted multiple shows and layers to what they do. It should be inspiring to all live performers.
