1. Have you heard of Alpha-gal syndrome? It was new for nearly all our team here at Red Whale. It’s a rare condition but with serious consequences so a good one to know about! Alpha-gal syndrome is a tick-borne allergy to red meat. It manifests as urticaria occurring 2–6h after ingesting mammal products, and repeated exposure can increase sensitivity and risk of anaphylaxis. Press play to learn more…
