  • Anne Lets You Down Easy
    Jul 14 2025

In this episode, we connect with writer / publicist / journalist / poet (and more) Anne Leighton. We talk about the music business, creativity, agoraphobia, kindness, and most importantly... cats.

Anne believes artists can develop their careers by creatingtheir own opportunities, and has developed her career in this way. Her publicity and music services roster includes Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius, Michael Veitch and songwriters from the PBS Program, “We Remember: Songs of Survivors,” John Hall & Orleans, Dean Friedman, Sharon Katz & the Peace Train, Hank Wedel, Robin Lane, Robeone, Tom Ciurczak, Robin Batteau, and the Indie Collaborative! She’s written 4 books you can get on her website, AnneLeighton.com. The most notable is her poetry collection, “The Leighton Explosion.” Sales from that book helped her find a songwriting deal with Sheer Music Publishing, South Africa, which brought out her alter ego— hip-hopper Bronx Buffalo. In addition to performing her own spoken word, she's delivered a number of guest lectures and keynote speeches on motivational rock and roll. Together Anne and Bronx are working to make the world a better place.
