  • The Zac Anesbury Show S03E04: Insights from Prof. Ray Taylor
    Feb 6 2026

    Welcome!

On today’s podcast, we have Professor Ray Taylor.

Ray is a Professor at Villanova University, Pennsylvania, United States.

Ray is not only a world-class advertising researcher known for his work, but also a world-class individual!

As a young academic, finding commonality with the fundamentals and beliefs of the field is a relief – phew, maybe I am on the right track. I hope you, too, can seek harmonies in learning from Ray’s incredible experience.

Ray’s multi-decade tenure as the Editor-in-Chief at the International Journal of Advertising provides incredible guidance into how the journal works and what it aims to publish in the next five years.

We are lucky enough to get some sneak peeks into his recent endeavour, co-authoring a book based on Super Bowl advertising—links in the show notes, for those of us who will purchase the book!

So, without further ado – Ray Taylor!

  • Your First Job: Navigating the Path to an Academic or Industry Role (Assoc. Prof. Benedetta Crisafulli)
    Oct 10 2025

Benedetta is an Associate Professor at Birkbeck, University of London, United Kingdom.

When Benedetta visited the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute, we grabbed coffee, and I was instantly drawn to her optimism, intelligence, and research. I knew she would make a fantastic guest, and I was thrilled she agreed and delivered!

Benedetta is not one to shy away from pursuing her career goals, whether moving internationally, learning multiple languages, or taking on leadership roles… no wonder she was promoted so quickly (twice)!

Luckily, she carefully curates her story and allows us to learn from success.

Towards the end of the episode, we learn about the novel area of Influencers, but in a business-to-business environment and how this differs from what we typically see as everyday consumers.

Still, early in her career, I will follow Benedetta’s research for years.

So, without further ado – Benedetta Crisafulli!
