December 21, 2025 | Luke 2:8-14 — The angels sang their song of good news, peace and glory to the shepherds in the field. Rev. Abby Gatliff teaches that these first people outside the holy family to hear the good news actually experienced the indwelling glory of the Lord.

December 14, 2025 | Luke 1:46-56 — When the angel Gabriel visits the young teen Mary with the news of her being chosen to bear the baby Jesus, she responds with what is known as Mary's Song, the Magnificat. Rev. Cort Gatliff teaches that, just like Mary, God sees us not because we are great, but because we are lowly and in need, and God is in the business of showing grace to the lowly.

December 7, 2025 | Luke 1:67-80 — The old priest, Zechariah, made mute by God for nine months, is able to speak at his infant son's circumcision ceremony. His first words are a song proclaiming that God has not forgotten his people, and he points to Jesus. Rev. Cort Gatliff teaches that in our days of darkness and division, we also should look to Jesus, because God has not forgotten us.
