    Welcome to another episode with Dr. Vanetta LaRosa, Todd Blyleven and Chris Maliszewski for another live edition of the Walking Tall Podcast!

    Joining the three co-founders is national beacon of hope Marc Fucarile, Boston Marathon bombing survivor. One of our nation's most traumatic events was the Boston Marathon bombing on April 15, 2013 in which three lives were lost, a dozen people lost limbs, hundreds physically wounded and countless were mentally harmed.

    Standing a few feet away from the second bomb that day, Marc Fucarile lost his right leg. From there a courageous fight to save his left leg while having shrapnel lodged in his body, Marc is now a national treasure having successfully completed Boston Marathons and many other inspirational acts.

    A father, a survivor, and a mentor Marc will share his story of fight, faith, physical resilience, mental health strength with Dr. LaRosa, Todd and Chris. As the founder of the M.A.R.C. Network Marc is using his experience to uplift the world!

    Kathryn Severns Avery embodies the Walking Tall Movement. On December 4, 2020 Kathryn's husband was tragically killed by three robbery suspects as they fled the scene. While that experience forever remains traumatic, today she is standing strong in support of first responders and all trauma survivors at the Restoration Ranch Colorado, a 501(c)(3), providing opportunities for those in the “Traumatic Event Lifecycle” to rest and recharge at no cost on a 40-acre ranch in the mountains of Colorado. Kathryn now passionately educates, advocates, and agitates on behalf of first responders.
