    Hey Gators, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for December 8 through December 15. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—Fall Commencement ceremonies are happening this Friday and Saturday at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center. If you're graduating or supporting a grad, check the schedule for your college's ceremony time. Next, the Gators Gymnastics Hype Night is set for Monday, December 15, at 6:30 p.m. It's your first chance to see the 2026 team in action, and it's free! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Finally, the Florida Gators Women's Basketball team is hosting West Georgia on Saturday, December 13, at 7 p.m. Come out and support the team during their home stretch. Over the weekend, the Florida Gators Women's Basketball team kicked off their five-game home stretch with a victory over South Alabama. Freshman Liv McGill led the charge with a team-high 32 points, igniting the offense after a scoreless first quarter. Looking ahead, the Gators Women's Basketball team will face West Georgia at home on Saturday, December 13, at 7 p.m. Be sure to show your support! The Gators Gymnastics Hype Night on December 15 isn't just about routines; it's a full-on fan experience. Arrive early to visit Alligator Alley, where you can meet the Spirit Squads and enjoy pre-event festivities. It's a great way to connect with fellow Gators and get pumped for the upcoming season. This week in Gainesville, expect a mix of sun and clouds with pleasant temperatures. There's a chance of showers on Monday, so keep an umbrella handy.     Hey Gators, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for December 1 through December 8. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—classes end this Wednesday, December 3. Make sure all your assignments are wrapped up and submitted on time. Next, Thursday and Friday, December 4 and 5, are reading days. No classes, so use this time to prepare for finals. Finally, final exams kick off this Saturday, December 6, and run through Friday, December 12. Double-check your exam schedule and locations to avoid any last-minute surprises. Over the weekend, our Gators men's basketball team clinched a thrilling victory against the Florida State Seminoles, edging them out 78-75. Guard Marcus Johnson was on fire, scoring 22 points and leading the team to success. Looking ahead, the Gators will host the Kentucky Wildcats this Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the O'Connell Center. Let's pack the stands and show our support! Feeling the end-of-semester stress? The Student Government is hosting a "De-Stress Fest" on Thursday, December 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Reitz Union Lawn. Enjoy free massages, therapy dogs, and relaxation stations to help you unwind before finals. On the dining front, the popular food truck "Gator Bites" will be stationed outside Library West all week from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Swing by for some delicious study fuel between your study sessions.     Hey Gators, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for November 24 through December 1. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—the Journalism and Communication Programs Virtual Information Session is happening Tuesday, November 25, from 12 to 1 p.m. If you're considering a major in this field, it's a great opportunity to learn more. Next—the Entomology & Nematology, Agricultural Education & Communication, and Interdisciplinary Studies (Environmental Management) Virtual Information Session is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, from 12 to 1 p.m. Don't miss out if these programs interest you. Finally—the UNF Volleyball match originally set for Saturday, November 29, has been canceled. If you purchased single-game tickets, you'll receive a refund. Season ticket holders will get complimentary tickets to the Women's Basketball game on December 7 against South Alabama. Tough weekend for Gator Football. We fell to No. 20 Tennessee 31-11 on Saturday, November 22, ending our 10-game home win streak against the Vols. Running back Jadan Baugh was a bright spot, rushing 18 times for 96 yards. Looking ahead, we face Florida State at home on Saturday, November 29. Kickoff time is yet to be announced. Looking for some holiday cheer? Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox is bringing their "Magic, Moonlight & Mistletoe" show to the Phillips Center on Monday, December 1, at 7:30 p.m. It's a festive way to kick off December. As for campus trends, with finals approaching, study groups are forming all over. Joining one can boost your prep and keep you motivated. On the food front, the campus food trucks are rolling out seasonal specials this week. Be sure to check them out for a tasty study break.
