      Oct 7 2021

This is a four-part series introducing the concepts of undoing, being, becoming as an opportunity to pause and reflect on ourselves and the communities, organizations, and systems where we are engaged in meaningful work.

In this episode we talk about Becoming. What do we mean by that?

Becoming is the process of entering into a new state of being. It is arriving, but you haven’t arrived yet. It’s a transition, a process. There are many things that can happen during our process of becoming: gaining clarity by knowing what you want and don’t want, shifting priorities, recognizing identity and power tied to job title or place, and finding mutualistic, supporting relationships.

In this episode we talk about Being. What do we mean by that?

Being is about being fully present in the moment, not looking to the past or the future. It is feeling grounded in body, mind, and spirit and noticing thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Being also involves stepping into your own power, recognizing that you have personal agency and control of yourself.
