    Happy New Year everybody!

Counting down to 2021 felt like the most liberating 10 seconds of our lives. We wish you all a brilliant and safe break over this period.

In our FINAL episode for Season 1, Melissa unveils possibly our most incredible story yet! When 21-year-old Yossi Ghinsberg went into the Amazon Jungle, he expected to find the lost city of Gold. What actually happened was a trip-turned-nightmare, when a venture by raft proved almost deadly; sweeping him over a waterfall. Separated from the group, he spends weeks traveling upriver looking for his comrades.

Thank you so much for following our first season. We look forward to creating more episodes in 2021.

    Merry Christmas Everyone!

Melissa and I want to wish you all a safe and merry break. It's been a YEAR... We hope you get time to spend with loved ones, or if you're still in lockdown: we hope you're holding out okay, and maybe a few survival stories can help to pass the time?

If you are heading out, it's important to remember to stay safe and vigilant, especially around this time of year. Roads can get dangerous, and our story this week tells of a family who fell victim to just that: a dangerous route is taken from desperation.

This week, Olivia tells the story of James and Jennifer Stolpa, and their infant son Clayton, who fought for survival for days after making a bad judgment call to take a closed mountain pass at Christmas time.

    Story begins at 29:08

Quick Announcement! The Wellington wind made itself present in this episode. We encourage you to use it as some type of accidental ASMR and imagine you are in the storm with the hero of this week's story.

In this episode, Melissa retells the astonishing story of a man trapped underwater for 3 days after his boat capsized in the Atlantic Ocean. 30m below the sea level, he was the only member of the crew to survive. How he did it, will confound and bewilder.

We hope you enjoy the story of Harrison Okene.

Olivia delves deep into an engrossing story this week, wanting to narrate just exactly how our poor hero fell victim to another of Mother Nature's gifts: The Sahara Dessert. While running what is considered one of the toughest marathons on Earth, Mauro Prosperi began to battle through a very different kind of race - a race to save his life.

Oh, look! It's lucky episode #3. In this episode, Olivia and Melissa talk Love Journals and Politics. But, more importantly, Olivia narrates a story that made medical history and changed the world's understanding of the boundary between life and death. This is the insane survival story of Dr Anna Bågenholm: the coldest woman on Earth.
