Welcome to Houston-based "The Story Voice." I apologize because it's been a while since our last episode. But life happens!

Thanks to guest tellers, Lou Novak and Eric Dieckman, this podcast is more fun than the law allows. Most episodes are theme-driven. This one is improv -driven---like sitting at a bar telling stories to friends. What else would you call yarns connecting Santa, Speedos, and a Fight Club?

This is a show which proves that not only is everyone a natural storyteller, but that connections between unrelated memorable moments paint a mosaic of who we are.

Feeling down and need a lift? Enjoy the show!

Animal Lovers: This is a must listen.

The world needs more compassion. And one would be hard pressed to find humans with more compassion then veterinarians. They seem to understand the power of compassion as a healing agent more naturally than people doctors. They blend medicine while diagnosing without words and use empathetic problem solving methods to heal animals and people. The end result are heartwarming stories. This podcast will prove that stories can inspire and deliver the generosity of heart all of us should show any time of year.

Retired professor Dr. Hank Roubicek will host family physician and medical school professor Dr. Marcia Holleman and retired professor, author, and storyteller Dr. Warren Holleman on this special Story Voice Podcast. Yep. They are married. And, when hear about their background, you will soon understand the storyteller DNA that molds their hearts and souls. Prepare to be transfixed when listening to these stories about Marcia's veterinarian father told in tandem by this unique pair.

Join us the 4th Tuesday of the month from 7-8:30 CST for our story swap hosted by the Houston Storytellers. Our members come from everywhere. Same ZOOM link found each time under events on: www.houstonstorytellers.org

Peace, Hank

The Story Voice is special. Entertaining? Yes. But encouraging the storyteller in you is what we do best. This podcast is an extension of award winning" So, What's Your Story?" on Houston's KPFT 90.1

With Halloween around the corner, host Hank Roubicek summons 2 GREAT tellers, Emily Sikora Katt and Vianna Isbister to engage you with tales of terror...well, some terror, and a robust banter about fear, ghost, and maybe a few demons.

Enjoy!
