Keisha Lance Bottoms Talks Economic Growth, Housing, and the Future of Stonecrest

Hey Neighbors!

As part of our Stonecrest Podcast Election Series, we're sitting down with former Atlanta Mayor and Georgia gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms for a conversation about the issues that directly impact Stonecrest and our surrounding communities.

Stonecrest is growing, but is the economic development keeping up? With new residents moving into eastern DeKalb and surrounding areas, many are asking why quality retail, restaurants, entertainment, and business opportunities aren't growing at the same pace.

In this episode, we bring those concerns directly to Mayor Bottoms and discuss her vision for communities like ours.

Here's what we cover:

• Economic Development: How can Stonecrest and surrounding communities attract meaningful investment, businesses, and opportunities?
• Data Centers: Mayor Bottoms explains her position on pausing new data center construction and why she believes communities deserve a voice in these decisions.
• Affordable Housing: Her proposed approach to workforce housing, property tax relief, and helping working families and seniors remain in their communities.
• Government Accountability: How residents can ensure elected officials continue prioritizing their communities long after Election Day.
• Jobs and Education: Her proposals for small business support, workforce development, and access to technical and community college.
• The Power of Your Vote: A message to young voters, seniors, Black men, and anyone questioning whether their vote matters.

This conversation isn't just about a statewide election. It's about what leadership at the state level could mean for the people living, working, raising families, and building businesses right here in Stonecrest, DeKalb, Rockdale, Henry, and Gwinnett counties.

At the Stonecrest Podcast, our mission is to help our neighbors vote informed. We provide a platform for candidates to share their positions so you can decide who best represents your priorities and the future you want for your community.
