  • Together Is Not Optional
    Mar 2 2026

    What happens after salvation?

In Acts of the Apostles 2:42–47, we see a powerful snapshot of the very first church. Three thousand people respond to the gospel, and they don’t go home and live isolated lives. They devote themselves stubbornly commit themselves to teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer. They live life together.

In this message, Pastor Justin Larkin reminds us that true worship does not stop with a song. It overflows into Christ-centered community. The early believers did not skip the “reception.” They celebrated their new life in Christ by gathering consistently, sharing burdens, praying together, and centering everything on Jesus.

In a world filled with conditional communities built on shared interests and preferences, the church is different. It is built on who we have in common, Jesus Christ. Togetherness is not an accessory to Christianity. It is evidence of it.

Community is not optional. It is essential.

Keynotes to reflect with or be a guide in journey of faith:

✅ The early church was devoted — not casual — about community.

✅ Fellowship means shared responsibility for one another’s spiritual growth.

✅ Miracles authenticated the message, but community revealed the transformation.

✅ You cannot separate Christ from His body.

✅ If Jesus gave His life for the church, we should give ourselves to it.

  • Humbly Serving Like Jesus
    Feb 23 2026

What does it truly mean to follow Jesus?

In this message from Mark 10:35–45, Pastor Justin Larkin reminds us that true worship does not stop with a song. It overflows into service. While James and John were focused on positions of glory, Jesus redirected their hearts toward humility, sacrifice, and the cross.

As Jesus made His way to Jerusalem, knowing the suffering that awaited Him, He defined greatness in a way that turns the world upside down. In the kingdom of God, greatness is not about climbing higher. It is about stooping lower. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

This sermon challenges us to examine our worship. If worship is offering our whole lives to God, then service is not optional. Serving at work, at home, in the community, and within the church becomes worship when God is the audience. The question is not if we should serve, but where and when.

If you are not serving anywhere, it may be time to let your worship overflow.

    Mark 10:35–45

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

    ✨ Keynotes to Reflect With

✅ True worship is more than a Sunday song. It is offering your entire life to God as a living sacrifice.

✅ In the kingdom of God, greatness is not about status or recognition. It is about humble service.

✅ Serving becomes worship when God is the audience, whether at work, at home, or in the church.

  • Worship in Spirit and in Truth
    Feb 16 2026

    What is worship?

Is it music? Is it emotion? Is it Sunday morning? Or is it something deeper?

In this message from Psalm 150, Pastor Jed Peter challenges us to rethink worship beyond songs and into daily life. Worship is not limited to instruments, lights, or even melodies. It is a response to who God is and the mercy He has shown us.

Teaching from Psalm 150, Romans 12, Acts 8, and John 4, this sermon explores why we worship, how we worship, and how true worship transforms the heart. Worship is not performance. It is not manufactured emotion. It is not a moment. It is a lifestyle of offering ourselves as living sacrifices in spirit and in truth.

This message invites us to carry worship beyond Sunday and into Monday. Into conversations. Into work. Into relationships. Into ordinary moments that become sacred when offered to God.

Keynotes to Reflect On / Guide in Your Journey of Faith

Worship is a response to God's greatness and mercy
    Worship is more than music
Worship must be authentic and rooted in truth
Worship is a lifestyle, not an event
The Lord seeks worshipers in spirit and in truth

Worship is not confined to a song or a sanctuary. It is the posture of your heart before the throne of God. When we worship in truth, offering our whole selves as living sacrifices, our lives begin to reflect His grace.

May we not only sing praise, but live it.

    Feb 9 2026

Everything in life has an expiration date. Trends fade, cultures shift, institutions change, and even people come and go. In this message from Northeast Christian Church, Pastor Justin Larkin reminds us of the one thing that will never fade: God and His Word.

Teaching from Isaiah 40:6–8 and Matthew 24:35, this sermon anchors our faith in the enduring truth of Scripture. While human effort, strength, and accomplishments eventually pass away, the Word of God remains unchanging, trustworthy, and eternally relevant.

This message also explains why learning to read the Bible in context matters so deeply. God's Word is alive and active, meant not only to inform us but to shape us, challenge us, and call us to faithful obedience. In a world full of noise, changing opinions, and temporary promises, Scripture stands firm as our lasting foundation.

✅ Everything in this world will fade, but God and His Word endure forever.

✅ Learning to read and understand God's Word for yourself is one of the greatest foundations of lasting faith.

    Key Scriptures

  • Reading the Bible in Context
    Feb 2 2026

When we open the Bible, it's easy to skim, isolate verses, or read Scripture without slowing down to understand what God is truly saying. In this message from Northeast Christian Church, Pastor Justin Larkin teaches from 2 Timothy 2:15 and reminds us that Scripture was never meant to be read in pieces, but in context.

This sermon explores why context matters, how it guards the meaning of God's Word, and how misusing Scripture can lead to confusion, division, and distorted faith. By examining the historical setting, genre, and purpose of Scripture, we learn how to rightly handle the Word of truth and allow it to shape our beliefs, convictions, and actions.

If you've ever felt unsure about how to read the Bible or struggled to apply Scripture faithfully, this message offers practical guidance and a renewed confidence in approaching God's Word with care, humility, and understanding.

    ✨ Keynotes to Reflect With

✅ God's Word does not change. Understanding context helps us discover what Scripture meant then so we can live it faithfully today.
✅ Reading the Bible in context guards us from misusing Scripture to fit our preferences instead of submitting to God's truth.
✅ Right interpretation leads to right conviction, which leads to faithful obedience and Christlike living.

    2 Timothy 2:15
"Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

  • What Should You Expect When You Open the Bible?
    Jan 26 2026

Every time we open the Bible, we come with expectations. We expect encouragement, clarity, and help for our lives. But what if God's Word expects something from us too?

In this message from Northeast Christian Church, Pastor Justin Larkin teaches from Hebrews 4:12–13, reminding us that Scripture is not passive or neutral. The Bible is alive and active. It meets us where we are, works on us, and calls us to respond.

  • Are You Reading the Bible Wrong? Why Jesus Must Be the Lens
    Jan 19 2026

The Bible is not a collection of disconnected stories. It is one unified account pointing to one Savior.

In this powerful sermon from Northeast Christian Church, Pastor Justin Larkin challenges how we read Scripture and reveals why reading the Bible through the wrong lens leads to the wrong message. Culture, politics, morality, self-help, and personal preference all distort God's Word when they replace Christ at the center.

Through Luke 24, John 5, Genesis, Joshua, Daniel, and Revelation, we discover a life-changing truth: Jesus is present in all of Scripture. From creation to the cross, from the fire to final victory, the Bible makes sense only when Jesus is the lens.

If you have ever struggled to understand the Bible, felt disconnected from the Old Testament, or wondered where Jesus really fits into Scripture, this message will give you clarity, confidence, and a renewed hunger for God's Word.

    ✨ Keynotes to Reflect With

✅ Reading Scripture through the wrong lens leads to confusion, but reading it through Jesus brings clarity and truth.
✅ The Bible is one unified account that points to one Savior from Genesis to Revelation.
✅ When Jesus becomes the lens, Scripture stops being overwhelming and starts becoming transformational.Start today, not perfectly, but faithfully.

Read Scripture as if you are listening, because you are. You do not need hours at a time. A few verses read attentively is enough. Let God's Word move from decoration in your home to direction in your life.

  • The Bible Is Not a Book
    Jan 12 2026

    Reading shapes us.

It changes how we think, how we focus, and how we see the world. But what happens when what we read is not just words on a page, but God Himself speaking?

In this message from Northeast Christian Church, we explore why the Bible is not just another book, not a collection of opinions, and not good advice. Scripture is God-breathed. It carries His authority, His purpose, and His voice. Written through human authors but sourced entirely from God, the Bible presents one unified story of redemption centered on Jesus Christ.

This sermon challenges the way we approach Scripture. Instead of treating it like decoration on a shelf, we are invited to read it faithfully, listen attentively, and allow it to shape who we are becoming. When we understand what Scripture truly is, it changes how we read it and how it transforms our lives.

If you have ever felt unsure where to start, overwhelmed by reading the Bible, or convinced that it has become more furniture than foundation, this message is an invitation to begin again.

    ✨ Keynotes to Reflect With

✅ Scripture is God speaking with clarity, authority, and purpose
✅ The Bible shapes us spiritually, not just mentally or emotionally
✅ Faithful reading begins with listening, not rushing or skimming

Start today, not perfectly, but faithfully.

Read Scripture as if you are listening, because you are. You do not need hours at a time. A few verses read attentively is enough. Let God's Word move from decoration in your home to direction in your life.
