What happens after salvation?
In Acts of the Apostles 2:42–47, we see a powerful snapshot of the very first church. Three thousand people respond to the gospel, and they don’t go home and live isolated lives. They devote themselves stubbornly commit themselves to teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer. They live life together.
In this message, Pastor Justin Larkin reminds us that true worship does not stop with a song. It overflows into Christ-centered community. The early believers did not skip the “reception.” They celebrated their new life in Christ by gathering consistently, sharing burdens, praying together, and centering everything on Jesus.
In a world filled with conditional communities built on shared interests and preferences, the church is different. It is built on who we have in common, Jesus Christ. Togetherness is not an accessory to Christianity. It is evidence of it.
Community is not optional. It is essential.
Keynotes to reflect with or be a guide in journey of faith:
✅ The early church was devoted — not casual — about community.
✅ Fellowship means shared responsibility for one another’s spiritual growth.
✅ Miracles authenticated the message, but community revealed the transformation.
✅ You cannot separate Christ from His body.
✅ If Jesus gave His life for the church, we should give ourselves to it.
