      Join us in the Science Briefing room for Episode 7 where we learn all about the science & art of brewing beer! We are on site at Alley Kat Brewing to learn from Brewmasters Chase and Morgan. Chase is the Production Manager at Alley Kat Brewing in Edmonton. He has a degree in Chemistry and Diploma in Brewing from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling. He’s coming up on 15 years in the industry, all of which has been at Alley Kat. His main interests are TV, movies, cooking, and motor racing. Morgan is the Lead Brewer at Alley Kat Brewing in Edmonton with over 3 years of industry experience. He has a Chemistry Degree and Diploma in Chemical Engineering. He’s currently working on a Brewing Diploma offered by the Institute of Brewing and Distilling. His main interests are video games, hiking and cooking. Tune in as Maryam explores the science behind making beer! With that we end Season 1 of the Science Brief! Stay tuned for Season 2!

    • NASA's Time Machine: The James Webb Space Telescope

      Join us in the Science Briefing room for Episode 6 where we learn about NASA's James Webb Space Telescope! It’s been more than 50 years since the first man landed on the moon and human beings started exploring the wonders of space. Since then probes, space stations, and satellites have been sent to space in an attempt to learn more about stars, galaxies, and our universe's origin. In December 2021, NASA successfully launched the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), the largest and most powerful space telescope to date!
      In this episode, we talked to Dr. Stefanie Milam NASA's Planetary Scientist, who serves as the James Webb Space Telescope Deputy Project Scientist for Planetary Science. We discuss the goals and plans for the JWST, how the launch went, and learn about how the JWST might unfold the mysteries of the Universe!
