Sometimes all it takes is for you to plant the seed and watch them grow let’s talk about the new position I have at a continuation high school and celebrating the small victories.

Some days you wake up and almost instantly evaluate where you are currently in your life… and you start your day grateful thankful. Today was one of those days for me. Let’s talk about it.

Sometimes you need to give yourself time to process bad news or something that upsets you in general. Especially if it requires you to make a decision. You need time to digest what just happened process it and then make a decision on your next move with a clear head. Let’s talk about it.

Not fame. Not money. Not attention.

I just wanted my life to make an impact.

I wanted to be the kind of man that could help people breathe again when life was crushing them.

And now… I’m living inside prayers that I once cried over in silence.”

We all know the day is coming, boy did we not think it was going to arrive this fast? It’s a strange place when your kids start to grow up and not need you to hold their hand for a lot of things now. It’s both a blessing and a curse. Because you realize you probably need them more than they need you. Such a strange place to be… Let’s talk about it.

When delivering a message or should I say when delivering a difficult message it is very important to make sure there is some truth some love and some accountability attached to it. It’s important so your message gets through clearly and then it is up to the person you’re telling it to on how they receive it. This goes for parents and for coaches. Hell, it even goes for bosses at work.

Some of the biggest lessons, young men will ever learn won’t come from what you say they’ll come from how you react. Especially when things get heated. Because when you’re a leader… A coach… A father figure… You’re being watched in the moments where it would be easiest to lose control.

I know I know I know I have been gone a little while, but it is baseball season and those are you who know me know that I’m a baseball coach and I am knee-deep into a baseball season.
