  • Oregon Weather 3/6 Morning - Snow and Rain Starting 6 AM
    Mar 6 2026
Good morning. Oregon. I'm Aaron Jolly. That drizzle you're feeling? It's been with us since overnight, dumping about a tenth of an inch so far. A weak front is limping through. And it's making things feel raw out there. Down in the Willamette Valley, rain sticks around all day. Here comes 50 degrees with another quarter to half inch of rainfall. Light south winds around 7 miles an hour keep things calm. Tonight, the rain finally tapers off after midnight. And lows hold near 47. The Southern Willamette Valley gets off easier — just a 60 percent chance of rain and highs at 51. Patchy fog rolls in tonight as skies clear. Lows drop to 42. Central Oregon dodges most of the wet stuff. A slight chance of mixed rain and snow before 7 A.M., then mostly cloudy skies take over. Highs reach 50, but temperatures slide back to 48 by afternoon. Tonight stays mostly cloudy with lows at 36. For the weekend. Saturday brings a welcome warmup. The Willamette Valley hits 59 degrees with mostly cloudy skies and just a chance of showers. Central Oregon jumps to 61 under mostly sunny skies — perfect weather for getting outside if you ask me. Sunday flips the script. Rain returns statewide with highs in the mid 50s. Then Monday through Thursday brings repeated rounds of rain. The Willamette Valley takes the heaviest amounts. Central Oregon might see some snow mixed in midweek as colder air works in. If you're heading out this morning, that drizzle makes it feel colder than it's. Layer up. See you tomorrow. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast See you tomorrow.

  • Oregon Weather March 5 Midday - Winter Weather Advisory
    Mar 5 2026
Good afternoon. Oregon. I'm Aaron Jolly. Step outside right now and that damp 48 degrees tells you everything. Classic early March — overcast, jacket weather. And showers lurking just around the corner. In the next 24 hours. The Willamette Valley climbs to 52 degrees this afternoon before temperatures start their slide. Scattered showers pop up before 5 P.M., then rain returns after 8 P.M. Tonight. Lows settle around 44 degrees. Down in the Southern Valley, you're at 49 today with rain chances, dropping to 41 tonight with more widespread showers. Now head east to Central Oregon. Completely different world. Sunny skies and 45 degrees, but northwest winds gust to 21 miles an hour. Tonight plunges to 28 with a chance of mixed rain and snow after 4 A.M. The mountains are getting hammered. Winter Weather Advisories stay up for the Northern Blue Mountains until 10 P.M. — 6 to 10 inches of snow and gusts to 35. Wind Advisories run until 7 P.M. For the foothills and north central Oregon, where gusts could hit 50 miles an hour. Not the day for a scenic drive up there. Here's your week ahead. Friday brings rain statewide — valley highs around 52. Central Oregon climbs to 50. Saturday offers a break with mostly sunny skies and 61 degrees in the Southern Valley. Sunday through Tuesday, scattered showers return. The twist? Cold air pushes south late Monday into Tuesday, bringing a chance for lowland snow Tuesday morning. The odds are low — 30 to 45 percent for a rain-snow mix — but if you're in the Portland-Vancouver metro, keep an eye on it. For those mountain drives tonight. Conditions are rough up there. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

  • Oregon Weather March 5 Morning - Winter Weather Advisory
    Mar 5 2026
Good morning. Oregon. I'm Aaron Jolly. That drizzle you heard overnight was just the opening act. We picked up barely a tenth of an inch, but the sky's reloading for round two. In the next 24 hours. Right now we're sitting at 46 degrees under thick gray clouds. The Willamette Valley sees rain showers developing today. Highs near 51. Tonight stays mild at 44, but here's your timing. Rain ramps up hard by 4 A.M. Friday. Friday stays wet with another quarter inch coming down. Down in Eugene, you top out near 48 today. Rain peaks late morning around 11 A.M. Tonight brings steady rain with lows near 39. Now cross the Cascades and it's a completely different world. Central Oregon wakes up to mostly sunny skies. Highs near 45 with northwest winds gusting to 22 miles an hour. Tonight you crash to 28 degrees with a slight chance of mixed precipitation toward dawn. Here's what you need to know about the alerts. A Winter Weather Advisory is active for the Northern Blue Mountains until 10 P.M. Tonight. Six to 10 inches of snow expected with gusts hitting 35 miles an hour. Travel will be rough. A Wind Advisory also covers the Blue Mountain foothills and North Central Oregon from 7 A.M. To 7 P.M. Gusts up to 50 miles an hour. Your five-day outlook. Saturday brings relief. Highs climb to near 60 degrees with partly sunny skies. Best day for outdoor plans. Rain returns Sunday and lingers into early next week. By Tuesday, colder air arrives. We could see a rain-snow mix even in the valley lowlands. Tonight's full moon will fight those clouds, but worth a glance if you catch a break. We're gaining over 3 minutes of daylight each day now. Spring equinox is just two weeks away. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
