  • New Jersey Weather March 5 Morning - Dense Fog Advisory
    Mar 5 2026
Good morning. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you stepped outside early, you walked straight into a wall of fog. Dense Fog Advisory until 10 A.M. Along the coast. Visibility drops below a mile in spots, so give yourself extra time this morning. In the next 24 hours. Rain's already knocking on South Jersey's door. By 7 A.M., steady rain spreads north. And you might catch a rumble of thunder between 7 and 11 A.M. Down south. Central Jersey gets wrapped in fog and rain by mid-morning. North Jersey stays driest the longest, but rain finds you by late morning. Highs today? 47 in the south, 45 central, 42 up north. Tonight's when things get serious. North Jersey could pick up three-quarters to an inch of rain by sunrise Friday. The entire state stays mild, lows holding in the upper 30s. Friday brings relief. Rain pulls away, fog lingers into morning, then clouds stick around all day. Highs climb back to the mid-40s. Here's where it gets interesting. Saturday warms into the 50s with showers returning Saturday night. Sunday? We hit the low 60s. That's spring showing up early. By Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Central Jersey could touch near 70 degrees — that's 37 degrees to 37 degrees warmer than normal for early March. One more thing. We're gaining three minutes of daylight every day now. Spring equinox is just two weeks out. And tonight's full moon rises through breaking clouds once the rain clears. Drive carefully in that fog this morning. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

  • New Jersey Weather March 4 Evening - Dense Fog Advisory
    Mar 4 2026
Good evening. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly. You might have heard the overnight drizzle tapping on your roof. It left us with about a tenth of an inch of rain. And the gray skies stuck around with a low of 38 degrees. But here's the weird part. Look up in North Jersey and you'll actually see mostly sunny skies breaking through this afternoon. Highs there climb to near 49 degrees. That's a solid 35 degrees warmer than usual for early March. In the next 24 hours. Down in Central and South Jersey, the clouds are much more stubborn. You're stuck in the upper 30s to low 40s right now. Tonight brings a new challenge. Fog rolls in after dark. And a Dense Fog Advisory kicks in for the coast at 6 P.M. Visibility could drop to under a mile. If you're driving near the shore tonight, take it slow. Thursday brings the main event. Rain spreads from west to east around daybreak and sticks with us through much of the day. North Jersey catches the steadiest rain, picking up a half to three quarters of an inch. Central Jersey sees a quarter to half inch, while South Jersey gets lighter amounts. Highs across the state reach the mid 40s. Friday starts damp but the rain tapers by afternoon. Then the pattern flips completely. A real warm-up arrives for the weekend. Saturday highs jump into the upper 50s to low 60s. Sunday and Monday get even warmer, with some spots touching the mid 60s. By Tuesday, inland areas could hit 70 degrees. Tonight's full moon might play hide and seek behind that fog. We're gaining nearly three minutes of daylight every day now. Spring is just 16 days away. Grab that extra blanket tonight. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. Take care That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.

  • New Jersey Weather March 4 Midday - 35° Above Normal
    Mar 4 2026
Good afternoon. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly. That gray ceiling hanging over the state? It's not lifting anytime soon. We picked up about fifteen hundredths of an inch of rain overnight. And the air is still holding onto every drop of moisture. You step outside right now and you feel it — that raw, 48-degree dampness that seeps right into your bones. In the next 24 hours. Here's the breakdown for your afternoon. North Jersey tops out at 49 degrees today, with a slight chance of showers before 4 P.M. Central Jersey reaches 50 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Down in South Jersey, you're dealing with lingering areas of fog and a high near 46 degrees. Tonight, the fog becomes the main character. A Dense Fog Advisory kicks in at 6 P.M. For coastal areas and runs straight through until 10 A.M. Thursday. Visibility could drop below a mile in spots, so be careful on the roads. Lows dip to 36 degrees in North Jersey, 38 in Central. And 39 down south. Thursday brings a soaker. Rain develops early and could drop a half inch to three quarters of an inch across North Jersey. Highs only reach the low to mid 40s. That damp chill will cut right through a light jacket. Looking ahead, the pattern flips dramatically. A warm front lifts north this weekend, pushing temperatures into the 60s by Saturday. By Tuesday, parts of New Jersey could hit 70 degrees. That's about 35 degrees above normal for early March. Tonight's full moon will be hard to spot through the soup, but hang in there. Sunshine and springlike warmth are just a few days away. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
