In light of escalating federal immigration enforcement activity and the second killing of a Minnesota citizen by federal agents, we feel compelled to speak directly with our listeners about what is happening in our state.

In this brief message, we share what we’re seeing, why silence isn’t an option, and how listeners can stay informed, show up for their communities, and support efforts demanding accountability and justice.

• Stand with Minnesota: A directory of places to donate to all comes from activists on the ground, plugged into the situation. Everything is vetted, with the exception of individual GoFundMes
• Immigrant Law Center of MN: provides assistance to hundreds of people with families detained by ICE.

• Immigrant Rapid Response Fund: a fund assembled by a coalition of Twin Cities Foundations committed to getting assistance out the door as quickly as possible.

Every year, Ashford Hollow holds its quaint All Hallows’ Eve Festival, complete with pumpkin carving, a costume parade, and the traditional twelve chimes from the church bell at the witching hour. But this year, after the final twelfth chime… a thirteenth toll rings out. The festival’s Pumpkin Queen has vanished, her carved pumpkin crown smashed to pieces in the town square. The smell of burnt sage hangs in the air, and faint, eerie laughter from somewhere high in the bell tower.
