The crew returns from the holidays with New Year’s schedule confusion, family stories, and Mike’s appreciation for a thoughtful waiter. Oscar’s health insurance paperwork adds another dose of everyday frustration to this classic TMOS replay.

Josh Sroka and Robb Spewak welcome Aaron Burns, director and producer of Jimmy, for a conversation about bringing an American screen legend’s most transformative years to the movies. From Hollywood stardom to World War II combat and the making of It’s a Wonderful Life, Aaron explains why Jimmy Stewart’s story became a film about service, hope, and finding a way forward.

Aaron shares how KJ Apa captured Stewart’s voice and mannerisms without turning the performance into an impression, why he approached Jimmy as a Frank Capra movie, and how the team combined archival footage with recreated newsreels. He also discusses Kelly Stewart-Harcourt’s involvement, a cameo from Karolyn Grimes—Zuzu herself—and the reactions that meant the most to the filmmakers.

Plus: honoring veterans, the difference between a timely story and a timeless one, Rob Riggle’s input on set, and the camera choices that show Jimmy’s isolation and return to joy. Robb has already watched the film twice, Josh offers a potential poster blurb, and Aaron picks his favorite Stewart movies—with one obvious choice taken off the table.

Jimmy opens nationwide November 6, 2026.

Jimmy Stewart was a Hollywood legend. To Kelly Stewart-Harcourt, he was Dad. Kelly joins Josh Sroka and Robb Spewak to share family stories, from the wartime diary discovered after his death to the mischievous sense of humor behind his familiar screen presence.

Kelly discusses seeing KJ Apa portray her father in Jimmy, growing up near Lucille Ball and Jack Benny, fans picnicking on the family’s front lawn, and the poem about Beau that brought everyone to tears. Afterward, Josh has one important question about Harvey: does Jimmy Stewart play the rabbit?

Mike’s morning drive inspires a highly unscientific list of cars—and drivers—to watch out for, with a special place reserved for the Nissan Rogue. Josh remembers the Mustang he’s glad he never inherited, and Robb recalls meeting Pat Summerall. A shark story sends Mike into a full-body Jaws impression, creating exactly the kind of ridiculous moment the guys will miss. Plus, political-text overload, a rare look at the Three Stooges explaining their craft, an unforgettable steak-and-eggs pitch, and a puppy video that nearly breaks the show. It’s moments like this.

Robb heads to Hobby Lobby for an Elvis poster frame and finds a world of fake cinnamon, “cute” decorations, and discounts that never end. Mike has questions—and a very special store employee on the line. Josh explains his two-hot-dog strategy at Costco, while Mike’s homemade beef stroganoff leads to a butcher encounter the guys refuse to leave alone. Plus, who gets the spotlight in the social clips, NFL referee frustration, and Robb’s firm stand against self-checkout. Welcome to Robby Lobby.

Mike’s computer is falling apart, but the real technical challenge is getting Robb to guess what he’s watching. A simple TV recommendation becomes an epic interrogation before Vikings finally emerges from the fog. Robb returns from Kings Dominion with happy memories, a candy apple, and a brutally accurate observation from Cary about his favorite activities. Mike and Michael brave Obsession together, and Mike shares his latest insurance-plan frustrations. Plus, a Genius Bar that ought to serve drinks, nostalgic television technology, and one loaded little word: “her.”

The guys debate the fate of the Yak Shack, Mike finds kindness at a doctor’s office, and listener mail brings birthday impressions and Thanksgiving turkey talk. More familiar voices and classic TMOS banter from the archives.

Robb wants a seat at the captain’s table. Josh isn’t convinced there even is a captain’s table—and wearing a tie might be the least of their problems.

This week, Josh Sroka and Robb Spewak compare clothes they’ve owned for decades, set some ground rules for visiting aliens, and dream up their ideal Super Bowl halftime shows. Elvis Presto sends them down a wonderfully strange rabbit hole, while a “raging tiger” story leaves Josh spectacularly disappointed. Then it’s back to Bayside for Saved by the Bell nostalgia, opening-day movie confessions, and Robb’s memories of watching The King of Queens come together in front of a live audience.

Old shirts. Old TV. Absolutely no shortage of opinions.
