  • 105. The Bitter End with Peter Psomadelis
    Jan 14 2026

For this final episode of The Lui Diaz Podcast, Peter Psomadelis returns with some explosive accusations and theories regarding his personal life, family and upbringing as well as laying down some highly justified dissatisfaction with the state of politics in the once great state of Victoria.Be sure to watch this episode.Among the many signs of our society's decay, Peter and I chat about everything he feels is coming to light. But through it all we experience small glimpses of humanity's benevolent side and the joy of the Christmas that no corrupt government or entity can ever take away because it lives inside of us, inside the human spirit. Thanks to everyone that was part of this project for all 106 episodes.

  • 101. Sharing Stories with Alif Kusuma
    Dec 7 2025

Alif Kusuma is a great young man of only 18 years from New Zealand and in this episode Alif shares his incredible journey from playing professional football in the Netherlands to hitchhiking in Europe, and now working as an abseiler in Melbourne. We discuss his “dog” mentality, the pain of missed opportunities, and Alif’s potential future.

    Episode Highlights

    1. “Sliding Doors” and The Cost of Saying No - Lui reflects on a pivotal moment in his own life where he declined an offer to move to Japan with a photographer friend to attend university instead. He uses this as a cautionary tale for Alif, encouraging him to embrace his freedom while he has it, noting that “responsibility is... restrictive” and urging Alif to take risks before commitments pile up.

    2. Recognition vs. Standards - They discuss the philosophy of awards and recognition in sports. Alif admits he wants to do good without being awarded for it. Lui offers a counter-perspective: awards aren’t just for the individual; they set a standard for others to aspire to. As Lui puts it, “The recognition isn’t for you... It’s to show others what to aspire to be”.

    3. The Value of Connection through Storytelling - Lui explains the origin of his podcast, born from a regret of hearing amazing stories from strangers (like during his skateboarding lessons) and letting them vanish into the ether. He argues that storytelling is a rite of passage and a way to acquire life experience vicariously, stating, “You kind of live it in your head... I feel like I know something more now because you learned it and told me about it”.

    4. Routine vs. Freedom - There is a recurring theme of the “illusion” of a boring life. Lui mentions his busker friend Leo thinks his life is boring, yet to a corporate worker in a “concrete box,” Leo’s life represents ultimate freedom. Alif resonates with this, finding freedom in his job as an abseiler, cleaning high-rise windows, which he describes as “just playing around” and feeling free.

  • 100. Blissing Out with Nick Sun
    Nov 30 2025

Nick Sun is a comedian and plant medicine practitioner based (I don’t know where). In this blissful, cacao consuming episode, we bring you the 100th episode of The Lui Diaz Podcast, with more laughs and more controversy than ever.

I owe two groups of people a special mention. Firstly to my very few supporters THANKS FOR believing in me and what I’m doing, some of you couldn’t handle the heat so you dropped out, I get it. To my haters, thanks too for believing in me, it’s knowing that you don’t like the way I look, talk and my general existence that makes me wanna show up more and more, so a BIG F*CK YOU to you.

This is definitely one of the funniest and most blissful sit down’s I’ve ever had. Nick is a man on a great journey of shedding expectations, pressure, pretence and everything that’s ultimately meaningless in life and I’m here for it.

I usually plant the episode highlights here but you can just watch and figure it out for yourselves 😅

  • 68. Second Time's the Charm with Alex Main
    Nov 23 2025

Alex Main is a comedian, comedy room runner and all-round good bloke, and in this belated episode 68 I’m glad to have Alex back in the chair to recap his recent adventures at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Alex is all about good vibes and a great storyteller. Join me and this man of travel, loyalty, and laughs, for a chat is packed with perspective, profound realisations, and some jaw-dropping anecdotes. This is a must-listen episode to get you motivated and grounded at the same time!

    Highlights:

    * The Legend of Elsie Rider: We kick off by revisiting the epic story of the Spanish woman who was in a coma for 10 years, woke up, and decided to ride a motorbike around the world, proving life’s reset button can be the most inspirational thing ever!

    * Solo Travel and Naive Girls in Edinburgh: Alex recounts his recent adventures doing the NC500 in Scotland and shares a story of finding two 19-year-old girls sleeping in a park at 4 am after being locked out of their Airbnb. Hear how he had to call a locksmith for them and why he believes there’s “no reason for girls to be that naive these days”.

    * The Reality-Shattering Breakup Overseas: I recount my major life change: moving to a new country (Europe) with my ex-partner and dog only to break up in the first week. This immediately led to a sobering reality—sleeping in a car outside a church during a snowstorm.

    * The Podcast’s Great Discovery: People “Actually Like Each Other” I reflect on the biggest takeaway from hosting 100 episodes: despite the “polarisation” and “treachery everywhere” seen online , I’ve learned that in the real world, most people seek to get along and find common ground.

    * The Riches are in the Niches (Or Not!): I discuss the challenges of running a broad show about “self-discovery and sort of conversation between two strangers”. I question the popular business mantra “riches are in the niches” and celebrate the work of simply telling great stories.
