    • Ep 7: Chinese Microsoft email hacks, the Threads honeymoon over, AI is breaking the internet and entertainment, tech co’s and illegal drugs, Apple’s MacOS Sonoma’s new password features and fav bosses
      Jul 18 2023

In this week's episode, Adair and Jordyn break down the Microsoft email hacks of some 25 US government agencies by the Chinese, the 'cooling' of excitement and activity over Meta's newly released Threads, how AI is breaking the internet and bringing the entertainment industry to a screeching halt, what some lawmakers are proposing to try to use tech companies to stop drug dealers (and associated deaths), an exciting new feature of Apple's MacOS Sonoma coming out this fall, and who our best bosses we've ever had were and why.

    • Ep 6: Twitter’s (dare we say it?) death knell and the meteoric rise of Threads, the heating war with China over AI computer chips, and ChatGPT has it’s first user dip
      Jul 10 2023

It's all about Twitter vs. Threads...this week Jordyn & Adair run down the last week of events, and analyze whether Twitter's decline is now immiment, 101MM Thread's users and growing, big names setting up shop on the new platform, and Twitter's dismal web traffic decline since Jan. Also in tech news, the US and China are in a 'tit for tat' over AI computer chips, with one threatening to withhold the chips and the other threatening to withhold the minerals used in the chips, while NVidia downplays it's impact on their biz for obvious reasons, and the parade of US officials making visits to Beijing. And, finally, ChatGPT has posted it's first user and iOS app store download declines in recent months...and whether it's due to students being out of school for the summer.

    • Biz is losing the ’return to the office’ battle, sketchy C-level AI survey results, Dove online safety PSA, TikTok is starting to suck and happy 247th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence!
      Jul 4 2023

Work as we knew it in 'The Matrix' is officially dead as Jordyn & Adair discuss an article confirming what everyone already knows, plus discussion over a ballsy prediction that AI would result in an increase in hiring based on a super sketchy and a tiny sample sized survey of older (no offense) folks in the workplace. Also, lotsa love to Dove for putting some serious dollars into producing a PSA about kids and social media (aka the algorithms of our worst human tendencies), as well as tackling the question...is TikTok already being monetized, or in other words 'enshittified'?
