Welcome to The Kori Leigh Show.

I’m Kori — a recovering alcoholic, 9 years sober, a mom, a woman who has walked through addiction, divorce, grief, mental health battles, and the kind of darkness that either takes you out… or forges you.

I know what rock bottom feels like.
I know anxiety that grips your chest.
I know the obsession to escape.
I know what it’s like to burn your own life down and still wake up the next day.

And I also know recovery.
I know surrender.
I know what happens when desperation meets God.

Sobriety didn’t give me a perfect life, but it gave me a real one. One built on faith, spiritual discipline, personal responsibility, and the daily choice to suit up and show up, even when it’s uncomfortable.

This podcast is for the person who’s done pretending.
The ones who knows something has to change.
The ones who is tired of reacting from emotion and wants to start responding from conviction.

Here, we talk about:

  • Recovery and sobriety without romanticizing the pain

  • Faith without performance or bypassing

  • Resilience, boundaries, and self-respect

  • What it actually takes to weather the storm and come out rebuilt

You’ll hear raw conversations, unhinged truths, hard-won lessons, and stories from people who have been to the depths and chose to rise anyway.

God meets us in the mess.
The storm passes.
And who you become in the storm determines everything.

If you’re willing to do the work — welcome.

As we say in recovery:
Find the similarities, not the differences.
That’s how we heal.

    • 53. FEAR → FAITH | Suit up. Show up. Stay.
      Feb 19 2026

What Happens When You Don’t Numb Out

In this episode, I’m talking about what it actually looks like to walk through a season of anxiety, co-parenting, major life shifts, and even a near-death experience and choose not to let fear run your life.

      We talk about:

      • Navigating chronic fear without numbing out
      • Rewiring survival patterns
      • Building structure and containment in chaos
      • Trusting God when you can’t see the outcome
      • Staying instead of running

      Here’s what I know:

You cannot shortcut transformation. You cannot numb your way to peace. And the storm passes, but only if you stay long enough to see it through.

      Suit up. Show up. Stay.

    • 52. Welcome Back: Why I Took a Break & What Almost Took Me Out
      Feb 12 2026

I didn’t disappear because I quit. I stepped back because I was in a storm and my job was to survive it sober.

In this episode of The Kori Leigh Show, I’m back after a long pause, and I’m telling the truth about where I’ve been. This past year required everything I had: learning how to co-parent for the first time, managing anxiety that felt suffocating at times, and facing a medical emergency that nearly took my life.

If you’re in a season that feels heavy, isolating, or relentless… this one is for you. I’m glad to be back. And I’m grateful to still be standing.

      In this episode:
      • Why I stepped away and why it was necessary
      • Navigating co-parenting and the emotional toll it took
      • Anxiety, surrender, and learning to stay present
      • A near-death experience that changed my perspective
      • Faith, endurance, and staying sober through the storm
      • What it means to come back rebuilt, not bitter

The storm passes. The work is staying.

    • 51. Say Yes to Life (Even When It’s Messy, Uncertain, or Not What You Asked For)
      May 5 2025

In this episode, we’re flipping the script on control and comfort and leaning into one powerful idea: what if your job isn’t to figure it all out—but to say yes anyway?

I’m sharing what’s been stirring in my heart lately—from my conversations with God, to the wild, unexpected ways this podcast and social media have grown (spoiler: I didn’t plan any of it). This is your reminder that faith doesn’t always come with a blueprint, but it does come with breakthrough—if you’re brave enough to show up for it.

      We’re talking about:

🔥 The fear that shows up right before the big stretch 💬 How to trust the plan even when it feels like chaos 👊 Why saying yes to life (and God’s timing) will change everything ⚡ A challenge for the week: What’s one thing you can say YES to—even if it scares you a little?

This episode is an invitation to stop waiting until you're ready and start trusting that God already knows what He's doing—you just have to agree to show up for the ride.
