À propos de ce contenu audio

In December 2020, the Jon and Tom Show began as a laid back attempt at bringing opposing views together to listen to each other. As time went on, it became clear that that was a monumental task that was likely impossible. After the events of January 6 2021, they changed to a more realistic goal of reporting on the lies in the media and politicians. Things have changed a lot in the past year and it has become increasing difficult to find out the truth. Season 2 is their effort to provide fair, independent commentary on current events and, at times, how they compare to historical events. Tom is a 69 year old retired dentist and Jon is a 48 year old semi-retired real estate guy. They come from different backgrounds but are able to have genuine, spontaneous discussions about controversial and difficult topics. They are not afraid to try to see both sides. If you would like to be a guest on the show or have any questions, suggestions, comments please email: thejonandtomshow@gmail.com Theme music is provided by Mercury Redstone, Orxestra, and Jon Beerman. On the final episode of the Jon and Tom Show, Jon fondly remembers Tom and plays a few clips from past shows. RIP Tom. We love you and will miss you dearly!

Thanks to everyone for listening and be careful out there! And remember, be careful who you vote for!

Check out my other podcast called No One Knows. It deals with heavy, philosophical metaphysical, and existential topics, and is a big departure from this show. I read my essays and follow with spontaneous commentary. The Spotify link is below:

    • Project 2025, Joe Rogan, Biden, Nuclear War - 12/8/24
      Dec 9 2024

Jon and Tom discuss current happenings in the world such as:

      • Project 2025, the conservative agenda written by several of Trump's cabinet picks, which lays out the plan for the next 4 years, including removing most or all checks and balances to the president's power.
      • Joe Rogan's 180 degree turn from being a fairly liberal democrat most of his life to becoming a staunch republican, who may have been the final key piece to getting Trump elected.
      • Biden's failures - pardoning his son and allowing Ukraine to use long range weapons inside Russia, thereby putting not only our country, but the entire world at risk of a nuclear based conflict.
      • Nuclear weapons and possible war. How many weapons are actually out there, and what kind are they? Are we really at risk?
      • The sun is really a wonderful thing
