    • Episode 204 | Andrew Morgan Smith Film and Media Composer
      Jan 22 2026

On this episode we have on media and film composer Andrew Morgan Smith.

We talked about how he has 6 kids, family dynamics with that many kids, teaching your kids empathy and kindness, teaching your kids calming techniques when they have a panic attack, trying to keep friends as an adult, and his life as a film and media composer.

Andrew if you’re listening to this. I did take out like…pretty much all of our discussion of plug ins, walking around rooms and clapping to see how the room sounds, and gear. So if you want the unedited version and a bonus episode of 20 minutes of Andrew and I just talking about really in depth audio and recording techniques…you probably don’t. Appreciate relating to you though on caring about details that pretty much no one notices or cares about.

    • Episode 203 | Author Patton Dodd "The Father You Get"
      Jan 19 2026

On this episode we have on author Patton Dodd.

We talked about his kids getting older and now being a plane flight away, life in Texas, and his day job helping families. Most of this conversation was about his new book The Father you Get. Patton had a difficult relationship with his dad. His dad made his family move a lot, burned a lot of bridges, and Patton wrote this book about their relationship. Patton was pretty honest about the journey of trying to learn about his father when he distanced himself from him for so long. I also talked to Patton about the toll writing a book like this took on him, and the exhaustion of doing the audio book.

The conversation isn’t all heavy because there’s life lessons he learned about fatherhood from this journey. But I really appreciate Patton letting me into his mental space to discuss a book he never thought he’d write.

    • Episode 202 | Author Lauren Tetenbaum
      Jan 15 2026

On this episode we have on author, lawyer, and therapist Lauren Tetenbaum

We talk about kids crafting, being a cool mom, having the best snacks at your house, how she became a lawyer, social worker, and advocate for women, writing her book, what it’s like being on a book tour with family at home, and trying to answer the question what the ef is menopause.

Her new book is called Millennial Menopause: preparing for perimenopause, menopause and life’s next period. And it has a chapter helping you undertake phase of life your partner is about to enter into. I do recommend this book if you have a partner or wife, because it pretty much just tell you to be more empathetic and nicer as their body changes. And that’s always a good thing to be told.
