Dr. Braxton B. Shaw is an author, educator, researcher, and human performance specialist whose interdisciplinary work explores the intersection of cognitive psychology, organizational psychology, psychological skills training, neuroscience, organizational performance, human performance, and human potential.

He earned his Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership and a Master's degree in Athletic Administration. He's the creator of field-based psychological interventions designed to advance mental readiness and human performance, and the developer and pioneer of Construction Performance Psychology (CPP), an evolving interdisciplinary behavioral science framework connecting psychological science with practical human and organizational performance within the construction industry.

His research interests extend into cognitive neuroscience, psychological capacity, human-centered organizational systems, biotechnology, mental health, and the emerging possibilities of predictive approaches to psychological readiness and performance.

As an author of multiple works, including The Clutch Gene, Coalescence, Transference, Dawg, and two volumes of Construction Performance Psychology, Dr. Shaw seeks to translate complex psychological principles into meaningful, accessible applications for individuals, leaders, and organizations.

Central to his philosophy is the belief that meaningful advances in human and organizational performance require a deeper understanding of the whole person and the entire organizational system—not just observable behaviors or measurable outcomes, but the cognitive, emotional, psychological, and environmental conditions that shape human capability.

Mark Steven Porro, a New Jersey native (Exit 163), earned an Industrial Design degree from The Ohio State University. After years of agency work, his love of acting led him to Hollywood, where he appeared in dozens of television, film, and stage productions. Mark also spent his twenty-eight years in Tinseltown, entrepreneuring. He started five non-profit companies. But hold the applause, none were intended to be. He now lives in the South of France. But hold your pity. He of sound mind and body chose to suffer in the heart of wine country where the locals insist his French isn’t so bad—at least that’s what he thinks they’re saying.

Mark is an award-winning designer, writer, director, and now a best-selling, award-winning author. He has written lots of jokes, several screenplays, and one award-winning short film. Gary Visconti was a two-time singles champion at the US Figure Skating Championship, winning that title in 1965 and 1967. He was also second in 1966 and 1968, and third in 1969. At the World Championships, Visconti won bronze medals in 1966 and 1967, placed fourth in 1969, fifth in 1968, and sixth in 1965. Visconti later skated professionally and then became both a coach and a promoter of the sport. He was a co-founder of the Legends on Ice professional show.
